Grays Point is a small affluent suburb in Southern Sydney, New South Wales, Australia, approximately 29 kilometers south of Sydney's central business district and within the Sutherland Shire local government area. It's a little suburb with lovely views of the Port Hacking estuary.
The origins of the name Grays Point are unclear. It is thought to have been named after either Samuel William Gray, who owned land on the point, or the well-known resident ranger in the Royal National Park in the 1880s, John Edward Gray.
Grays Point is also flanked by the Royal National Park, which connects it to suburbs like Audley, Heathcote, and Engadine through a series of walking and bicycling paths.
