Woolooware is a suburb in the state of New South Wales, Australia, located in the southern part of Sydney. It is surrounded by Cronulla, Caringbah, Burraneer, and Kurnell suburbs.
Woolooware is located in the Sutherland Shire, 24 kilometers (15 miles) south of Sydney's central business district. The suburb runs from Woolooware Bay on the Georges River estuary in the north to Burraneer Bay and Gunnamatta Bay on the Hacking River and Port Hacking estuaries in the south.
Woolooware used to be a wooded region with mangrove wetlands. Endeavour Field, Woolooware Golf Course, and Cronulla Golf Course were among the parks and playing fields that were reclaimed afterwards.
